“Sue and I met while pledging Kappa Delta as sophomores. We were instant friends; two peas in a pod. She has been my rock for over 20 years, and she gives me confidence by helping me see the brighter side of life (even if we live states apart). We just celebrated our fortieth birthdays together, and this picture of her laughing shows the Sue spirit that has cheered me along over the years.”

Congratulations to our two honorable mentions:

Both honorable mentions will receive a friendship package with a tote bag, friendship books and more.

“I met Shirley ten years ago when I was recently divorced and very depressed. She convinced me that I could run a marathon and helped me train. I ended up doing not just one, but several others plus hiking a number of 14-ers including running the Pike's Peak Marathon. She never let me give up on myself and gave me the confidence to get out and really start living again.”

“My big [sister] and best friend inspires me every day to love myself for who I am. Going through cancer treatment for the second time was harder than the first, especially when I lost my hair again, but with her love and support on the good and the bad days I feel more confident and able to except myself and my situation. She is the definition of supportive and motivates me every day to be positive and confident.”
